Simcroft Care Ltd wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use assistive technology. This statement explains what we have done, what we know still needs work, and how to get information in another format.
1. The standard we work to
This website is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at level AA. Among other things, that means:
- Text and background colours have enough contrast to be read easily, including on the dark sections
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator and a "skip to content" link
- Headings, landmarks and labels are structured so that screen readers can navigate the pages
- Text can be enlarged to at least 200% without anything being cut off, and the layout works on phones and tablets
- Animation is reduced or switched off for people who have asked their device to reduce motion
- Form fields are labelled, errors are described in words and the page tells you how to fix them
- No information is given by colour alone, and no content flashes
2. What we know about
We are not aware of any part of this website that cannot be used with assistive technology. The hero image and the logo are decorative and are hidden from screen readers, with the company name provided in text. The enquiry form needs JavaScript; if it is unavailable, the page shows our phone number and email address instead.
3. Information in other formats
We can provide the information on this website, our Statement of Purpose, Service User Guide, care agreement and complaints procedure in large print, easy read, or in Punjabi, Urdu or Hindi, and we can go through any of them with you in person or by phone. Where someone we support has a communication need, we record it in their care plan and meet it as part of their care, in line with the Accessible Information Standard.

If you find anything on this site hard to use, or you need something in a different format, please contact us using the details above. We will acknowledge your message within 3 working days, and we review this statement whenever the site changes and at least once a year.
